1977/08/24 - USA, New York, Palladium super 8 _ la suite
Le 22 mai 2013 HighwayToACDC.com partageait avec vous une vidéo non sonorisée de cinquante secondes du concert "1977/08/24 - USA, New York, Palladium" en super 8, tournée par B.Bernstein. Cinq ans plus tard, voici une nouvelle vidéo de cette soirée avec un extrait supplémentaire des groupes The Dictators et The Michael Stanley Band, mais surtout un ajout de trente secondes aux images déjà connues d'AC/DC.
Voici, pour mémoire, le témoignage du cinéaste amateur :
"This movie was filmed in silent Super 8 with a Yashica camera. Unfortunately, it is the only footage that I filmed. Super 8 film came in 3 minute rolls and was relatively expensive to purchase and to process. To have filmed the entire AC/DC portion of the concert, which was about a half hour long, would have been extremely expensive for me (I was only 16 years old at the time).
I first became aware of AC/DC when I visited London, England in 1976, and there was promotion of them in the rock magazines.
I had a feeling they would be an important band, but when I saw them in 1977 nobody I knew ever heard of them.
This is the only time I ever saw AC/DC in concert. It was their first American tour. The night after this concert they appeared at CBGB. To this day, it is the loudest concert I ever attended, but maybe that's because I was in the front row."
